Two close games and two wins for the 7th-grade team this weekend. The first win of the season came on Saturday against Simsbury, 20-18 in OT. All the girls played tough defense the entire game. It came down to free throws in the overtime period, and Elise and Leila were able to knock them down.

Girls won 23-19 against Southington on Sunday. Down 5 going into the fourth quarter, the girls stayed positive, kept their heads in the game and pulled off the comeback. Leila was unstoppable underneath, leading all scorers with 17 points.
